Josh Beauregard-Bell – Basketball Agent
Wasserman
Josh is currently a sports agent within the Basketball Division of Wasserman. Josh assists in the management of some of the top NBA and WNBA players including, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder, Klay Thompson of the Golden State Warriors and Breanna Stewart of the New York Liberty.

Walter Boggan – Executive Director
Sports Industry Academy
Walter Boggan is a visionary leader at the intersection of sports, education, and equity. He currently serves as the Chief Strategist for 5th & Lemon, a consulting firm focused on building academic, career, and life pathways for students through sports and leadership programming. Walter is the founder and driving force behind the Sports Industry Academy and SportsBizFest, two dynamic initiatives that introduce high school and community college students to the business of sports through immersive experiences, industry exposure, and mentorship.
Walter’s unique background spans both the professional sports world and higher education. He has held sports management roles with NBA Hall of Famer James Worthy, Reich Katz & Landis Sports Group, and the Sports Division of Williams & Connolly LLP. In higher education, Walter formerly served as the Director of Admissions, Outreach and Diversity Initiatives for UC Santa Barbara’s Graduate Division, where he created and implemented educational programs that expanded access and opportunity for underrepresented students across the UC system.
A proud graduate of Vallejo Sr. High School, Walter earned two B.A. degrees from UC Santa Barbara and an M.A. in Sports Management from the University of San Francisco. Through his work, he continues to empower the next generation to dream bigger, lead boldly, and succeed with purpose.
Kat Calderon – Sales Executives

Kat Calderon is an Account Executive with the Los Angeles Clippers and has worked in the Sport Industry for the past 5 years. In her current role, Kat focuses on selling season tickets, suites, mini plans, and individual game tickets to reach personal goals and company quotas. She is also responsible for building relationships with clients and businesses to secure deals and generate new sales opportunities.
Kat holds a B.S. from CSU San Marcos and a M.A. in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco.
Livis Freeman – Assistant Professor and CEO

Livis Freeman is currently a faculty member within the School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He is also the CEO of 4 Our Fans, Inc. where he develops the community and public relations identity of professional athletes. Some of his clients have and currently include former NBA Players, Antawn Jamison, Jerry Stackhouse and Brendan Haywood and golfer, Charles Howell, III.
Livis holds a B.S. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Ivan Hudson – Digital Partnerships Coordinator

Ivan Hudson is currently Digital Partnerships Coordinator for the Chicago Bulls. Prior to his role with the Bulls, Ivan worked with several top sports organizations, including, G3 Marketing, the DeVos Sport Business Program and Excel Sports Management.
Ivan holds an Associate Arts degree from Santa Rosa Junior College, a B.S. degree from Indiana University and a MBA/MSBM from the University of Central Florida.
Brandon James – Founder & Creative Director
C2R Productions
Brandon is currently the Founder & Creative Director for C2R Productions, a video productions company based in Los Angeles, CA. He has worked/collaborated with several current and former professional athletes including, Alan Williams (NBA), Jaleel Okafor (NBA), Aaron Gordon (NBA), Josh Childress (NBA), C.C. Sabathia (MLB), and Antawn Jamison (NBA) just to name a few. Brandon also has years of experience crafting multimedia messages for many educational and non-profit organizations, including the University of California, Santa Barbara, and United Way of Greater Los Angeles. Brandon was also the Director and Editor of the ‘Wilson Park Chronicles’ a documentary about the historic excellence of baseball in the city of Vallejo, California.
Brandon holds a B.A. degree in Communications from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Antawn Jamison – Assistant General Manager, and Former NBA Player

Antawn played college basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels, when he was named national player of the year in 1998. He was selected by the Toronto Raptors in the first round with the fourth overall pick of the 1998 NBA draft before being traded to the Golden State Warriors for former Tar Heel teammate Vince Carter. Jamison was named to the NBA All-Rookie Team with the Warriors. During his career, Jamison was a two-time All-Star and won the NBA Sixth Man of the Year Award in 2004. He was a member of the United States national team in 2006. After retiring from playing, he became an analyst for Time Warner Cable SportsNet and is currently the Assistant GM for the Washington Wizards.
Antawn holds a B.A. degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Damon Jones – Vice President, & Assistant General Manager
Los Angeles Dodgers Baseball Club
Former Chief Legal Officer, Washington Commanders Football Team
Damon is currently the Vice President, Assistant General Manager and Baseball Legal Counsel for the Los Angeles Dodgers Baseball Club where he is responsible for baseball operations and baseball legal affairs for the Club, including the negotiations of player contracts and representing the Dodgers in all arbitration cases.
Damon also spent time in the NFL as the Chief Legal Officer of the Washington Football Team.
Damon holds a B.A. degree with honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a J.D., cum laude, from Harvard Law School.
Eddie Maisonet – Sports Journalist (Former Sr. Editor, Combat Sports)
Houston Chronicle
Eddie Maisonet currently serves as a Sports Journalist for the Houston Chronicle. He was the Senior Editor for ESPN, focused on combat sports coverage (UFC, boxing and WWE) for our digital editorial group. We produce content focusing on live-event coverage, analysis and feature storytelling throughout the year.
Eddie is also an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco’s Sport Management master’s program. At USF, Eddie teaches “digital strategy in sports media” which helps students find ways to survive and thrive in a constantly evolving industry that drives the content sports fans consume on a daily basis.
Eddie holds a B.A. from Langston University and a M.A. in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco.
Janet Sevilla – CEO, Sevilla Catalyst for Change, Former Vice President, Community Impact, Atlanta Dream, WNBA
Janet is currently the CEO of Sevilla Catalyst for Change and the former Vice-President of Community Impact with the Atlanta Dream of the WNBA. She was the former Community Affairs Manager for the Atlanta Braves Baseball Club and previously worked for the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer and the Los Angeles Lakers of the NBA.
Janet holds a B.A. degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
Bobby Thompson – Associate Athletic Director, Administration and Student Success

A proud native of Oakland, California - is the Associate Athletic Director for Student Athlete Services for Loyola Marymount University. Leveraging his Howard University Communication & Culture undergraduate education, University of San Francisco Sport Management Master’s Program education, and his valued life experiences, Bobby has discovered a passion for positively impacting people - particularly athletes - at the intersection of human learning and development, social responsibility, and multi-hyphenate identity awareness. Prior to his work at LMU, Bobby directed and led holistic student-athlete development initiatives, services, and programming for Cal's 850 student-athletes for five years, where he enriched the transformational growth and cultural awareness of student-athletes, focusing on career preparation, character and leadership development, and community engagement. Inspired by LeBron’s #MoreThanAnAthlete charge, Bobby is excited to continue empowering people to understand how we are all more than what we do.
Angela LaChica – CEO

Angela LaChica is a 25-year veteran of the sports industry having consulted to major sports properties, top professional athletes, and leading nonprofit organizations. Her clients have included the NFL, NBA, MLB, ESPN, NIKE, Adidas, NCAA, Players Coalition, Unstoppable Foundation, LeBron James Kings Academy, Los Angeles Chargers, Anquan Boldin, Kawhi Leonard and more.
Angela’s wide-ranging expertise includes social justice advocacy and training; development and execution of strategic national marketing and media campaigns; and special event planning and management. Her social impact projects often leverage her expertise across all of these platforms.
Angela achieved national recognition in 2016 as one of the lead negotiators behind the scenes for the NFL’s $89 million multi-year commitment to social justice initiatives. She now provides ongoing guidance to the NFL’s top management and partners on the strategic implementation of those initiatives.
In addition to leading LaChica Sports & Entertainment Group, Angela serves as the Managing Director for the Players Coalition, a 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) organization of professional athletes working to impact social justice and racial equality.
Angela was recognized as the 2020 Women to Watch by the California Women’s Leadership Association. Additional public recognition includes Women Who Mean Business Award, San Diego Magazines’ People to Watch Nominee and Outstanding Emerging Professional Award.

Marty Gorsich – CEO
Century Club of San Diego, Host of the PGA TOUR’s Farmers Insurance Open
Marty Gorsich is the CEO of the Century Club of San Diego, the host organization for the PGA TOUR’s Farmers Insurance Open, held at Torrey Pines golf course each January. During his 12 years with the organization, his leadership has helped drive significant overall revenue growth, elevated the overall guest experience at the event, and produced various innovative ideas that have solidified the Farmers Insurance Open’s reputation as one of the PGA TOUR’s premier events and a staple of the San Diego sports and social calendar.
Gorsich has a long and distinguished career in the sports industry, including 14 years in various business development roles with the San Diego Padres, where he was intimately involved in the transition from Qualcomm Stadium to Petco Park. He has also held positions with the San Diego Sports Commission and the NBA’s Portland Trail Blazers.
Alanna Hernandez – Executive Vice President, Business Affairs and Operations
Wasserman
Alanna Frisby Hernandez is the Executive Vice President, Business Affairs and Operations of Wasserman’s Team Sports division where she manages the legal and day-to-day operations of the group. In this role, Alanna has negotiated and finalized playing, endorsement, sponsorship and appearance contracts for Wasserman baseball, basketball, hockey, soccer, coaches and executives, and Olympic clients, and she is also charged with educating and informing the entire talent practice on important legal issues and industry trends, including the application of various Olympic rules, NIL, NFTs and inclusion riders in talent agreements. Alanna also manages Wasserman’s M&A transactions relating to the Talent Representation practice and has been intimately involved in the growth of the business over the last 9.5 years. Alanna was a founding member of Wasserman’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council, and served as a co-leader of the women’s DE&I subcommittee, which is dedicated to promoting and supporting women at Wasserman and within the industry as a whole.
Alanna began her legal career at Weil, Gotshal & Manges in their Complex Commercial Litigation department. She received her bachelor’s degree from UCLA and her JD from Columbia Law School.
Kristen Keller - Associate Athletic Director for Sports Brands and Communications
USC Athletics
Kristen Keller joined the athletic department at USC in November 2024, coming in as the Associate Athletic Director for Sports Brands and Communications and serving as the primary contact for the men’s basketball team.
Keller most recently came from UC Santa Barbara, where she served as the Associate Athletic Director for Communications and Digital Strategy, overseeing the entire athletic communications office for the Gauchos. While she was there, she was the primary contact for the men’s basketball team that earned two bids to the NCAA Tournament in four years, the women’s volleyball team that earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament in 2023, men’s volleyball and men’s golf. Keller also served as the media coordinator for the NCAA Baseball Regional in 2024, which was the first time UC Santa Barbara hosted an NCAA Baseball Regional on campus. During her time with the Gauchos, she implemented a new brand strategy through various social media campaigns that was also carried over to the new website she created for ucsbgauchos.com. Not only that, but Keller also handled all the media availability and requests for the athletics department, pitching stories about student-athletes, coaches, teams and administrators to the local and national media.
Prior to her time with the Gauchos, she had stints with three collegiate athletic departments in Illinois. She served as the Director of Athletic Communications for both Trinity Christian College and Concordia University Chicago before taking on her last role in Chicago as the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at Loyola University Chicago. During her two stops at Trinity Christian College and Concordia University Chicago, Keller modernized the athletic departments she worked for, creating social media accounts and strategies to grow those brands while also performing traditional sports information duties. While with the Ramblers at Loyola Chicago, she served as the primary contact for men’s volleyball, men’s soccer and softball while also handling stats for the men’s and women’s basketball teams.
Keller earned her bachelor’s in communications from Felician University in 2018 before receiving her master’s in journalism from Northwestern in 2019 with a specialization in sports media. She was a three-sport student-athlete at Felician, competing in volleyball, track and field, and bowling. While receiving her education at both Felician and Northwestern, Keller worked in the athletic departments as a student assistant. She got hands-on experience in the field, assisting with numerous sports at both institutions.
She is also an active member of College Sports Communicators, serving as the chair of the Young Professionals Committee and CSC Women while also contributing to the Mentorship Committee. She was also named to the organization’s 30 Under 30 list in 2023.
LaDonte King - Vice President of Student Success

LaDonte is a transformational leader with over 18 years of leadership experience in student services program coordination, academic program development, assessment and implementation, professional development, academic coaching, and curriculum design within the higher education system. He has hosted professional development workshops at multiple state-wide and nationwide conferences such as the Students In Transition (SIT), First-Year Experience (FYE), and African American Male Education Network and Development (A2MEND) conferences, just to name a few. He is renowned for his relational and holistic approach to professional development and fervent commitment to the authentic and lasting success of all students in pursuit of their education. He is the author and Co-founder of numerous academic success, and professional development curriculum for first-time professors, first-generation college students, minority students, and student-athletes. No matter the audience, LaDonte’s ability to combine his energy and passion with a sense of humor and innate sincerity enables him to connect with a wide range of audiences and empower them to achieve the growth and change they earnestly desire.
Alexa Rios – Athlete Coordinator
Wasserman
As an Athlete Coordinator at Wasserman, Alexa oversees a vast majority of administrative tasks for top executives leading the Action Sports division. Her role involves managing everything from client proposals, social reports, clients’ compensation to simply “getting things done” efficiently. Everyday has a different task at hand but with that also comes an opportunity to learn something new. With a strong passion to pave the way for a better tomorrow, she strives to amplify opportunities and hope for future generations.
Morris Thomas – Manager, Public Affairs
Southern California Golf Association
Morris Thomas is a purpose-driven leader working at the intersection of sports, community, and equity. At the Southern California Golf Association (SCGA), he focuses on creating opportunities for underrepresented communities by expanding access to the game of golf and building programs that make a real impact. His work spans public affairs, nonprofit partnerships, and civic engagement — always with a goal of improving communities on a broader scale.
Raised in Stockton, California, by a single mother and a resilient family of refugees, Morris learned early on the value of hard work, humility, and showing up for others. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Communications from Sacramento State and went on to complete a master’s degree in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco. While his path into the sports industry wasn’t traditional, that’s exactly what fuels his passion for mentorship — especially for young people looking to break in. Morris is committed to helping students see the bigger picture: that their background is a strength, their voice matters, and there is room for them in this industry. Gerard Vargas – CEO and Co-Founder
Legacy Master Academy
Gerard Vargas is the co-founder of the Legacy Mastery Academy, an organization that strengthens teacher and student mindsets by optimizing their beliefs, thinking, and habits so they can achieve their goals.
He is an adjunct faculty member at Loyola Marymount University, training educators in effective teaching methods in the Urban Education Department.
As a former science teacher and teacher trainer, Gerard helped Animo Leadership Charter High School, a high-need Title I school, become the 23rd best high school in the United States in 2009 according to The US News and World Report. As a result, he received the 2009 Teacher of the Year award by the prestigious Sigma Xi association.
During his 25 years as an educator, Gerard designed curriculum, coached teachers, and trained educators at Green Dot Public Schools.
Jamila Chambers – Executive Director

Dream Releaser Life Coach. Motivational Speaker. Visionary Leader. Jamila is a multifaceted business professional with over 25 years of industry experience who has worked in various market segments including retail grocery, hospitality, agricultural, non-profit, and sales. Her corporate tenure has been hallmarked by producing results and building field human resource departments for several Fortune 500 companies.
After achieving measurable success, she found her significance through empowering others to "create a life without limits." Jamila has a transformational perspective and believes that every life is significant and that every person has a unique and strategic assignment. She founded The Dream Studio, a multi-media personal development and branding platform to equip others with tools to achieve their personal best.
Her expertise in Success Coaching, Motivational Speaking, Human Resources, and Training & Development has added value to countless businesses, organizations, and most recently Occidental College Students in her position as Executive Director of the Hameetman Career Center. Jamila's approach to providing service to Oxy Students and Alumni is from "orientation to offer letter" with a day-one emphasis on providing resources at the start of their academic career that will develop readiness in the workplace. She is excited to partner with Occidental College Students and Alumni who are leveraging their Oxy education and understanding of an interdependent culture to build bridges of connectivity to make a meaningful impact in their chosen careers.
Jamila has been happily married to her husband Rufus for over 20 years and they have two beautiful daughters Winter Samone and Willow Corinne.
